چکیده

Reentrant superconductivity has been observed in the candidate spin-triplet superconductor UTe$_2$ as a function of magnetic field applied along hard axis. Resistivity measurements have shown, broadened superconducting transition appears near minimal $T_c$, highlighting importance fluctuations this regime. We present phenomenological study assuming field-driven first-order between two states. show that with quenched randomness, inhomogeneity-enhanced could naturally account for both reentrant well transition.

Superconductivity and Spin Fluctuations

The organizers of the Memorial Session for Herman Rietschel asked that I review some of the history of the interplay of superconductivity and spin fluctuations. Initially, Berk and Schrieffer showed how paramagnon spin fluctuations could suppress superconductivity in nearly-ferromagnetic materials. Following this, Rietschel and various co-workers wrote a number of papers in which they investiga...

Quenched Randomness at First-Order Transitions

A rigorous theorem due to Aizenman and Wehr asserts that there can be no latent heat in a two-dimensional system with quenched random impurities. We examine this result, and its possible extensions to higher dimensions, in the context of several models. For systems whose pure versions undergo a strong first-order transition, we show that there is an asymptotically exact mapping to the random fi...

construction and validation of translation metacognitive strategy questionnaire and its application to translation quality

like any other learning activity, translation is a problem solving activity which involves executing parallel cognitive processes. the ability to think about these higher processes, plan, organize, monitor and evaluate the most influential executive cognitive processes is what flavell (1975) called “metacognition” which encompasses raising awareness of mental processes as well as using effectiv...

Application of Geostatistical Methods to Estimate Groundwater Level Fluctuations

Keeping the water table at a favorable level is quite significant for a sustainable management of groundwater plans. Various management measures need to know the spatial and temporal behavior of groundwater. Therefore, the measurement of groundwater levels are generally carried out at spatially random locations in the field; whereas, most of the groundwater models requires these measurement at ...
